Elisa deCastro Hornecker graduated from the University of Oregon with a BA in International Studies and Political Science, concentrating on languages. She is fluent in Spanish and French. Upon graduation, she worked in The Bank of California’s Trust Department in Portland, Oregon as Vice President Investment Manager. Ms. Hornecker retired to raise three children, and has since devoted her time volunteering and supporting community organizations that primarily serve youth.
She is a member of ninety-nine girlfriends, a collective giving organization, where she serves as a liaison between the organization and its grantee partners. She is also a writer for STROLL Portland Heights magazine. She previously served on the Board of the UO Foundation. Ms. Hornecker credits her time at the UO with not only providing an excellent education, but a community of life-long friends that have kept her and her family connected to the university. Her husband, son and youngest daughter are also alumni of the University of Oregon.
