Jamie Moffitt is the interim president of the University of Oregon. She was appointed to the position on March 13 by the university’s Board of Trustees. As interim president, Moffitt is the institution’s chief executive officer and is focused on advancing the UO’s mission through enhancing academic and research excellence, supporting student access and success, improving inclusion and diversity, and providing an outstanding campus experience.
Prior to serving as interim president, she was the university's senior vice president for finance and administration/chief financial officer. As senior vice president, Moffitt worked with the broad university community to strengthen and further align central administrative and financial functions with the university's core mission of teaching, research and service. Moffitt was previously the executive senior associate athletic director for finance and administration from May 2010 to December 2011. Prior to that, she was the associate dean for finance and operations at the UO School of Law from 2003 to 2010. In both positions, she reorganized budgeting and financial reporting processes and managed human resources and infrastructure improvements.
